Digital Audio Workstations
For this project, I have researched the history, present, and possible future of the Digital Audio Workstation. In addition to providing the historical context of music and computer technologies, the history section also lays the foundation of what a Digital Audio Workstation is and what it is designed to accomplish. The present / future section of the project applies music consumer needs and industry challenges to communication theories presented by Clayton Christensen, and provides a glimpse of what the future of digital music technology may hold specifically for non-power users.
