The Evolution of Books: From Papyrus to ePaper
This project is about the evolution of books – a technology that has existed more than 3,000 years. This project is for the required course, Evolution and Trends in Digital Media, in Digital Media program in University of Washington. The core spirit of this required course is to learn how to examine any industry, any issue, or any technology by analyzing its past, present and future, and we students are able to apply the theories we have learned to our project. Various online resources and literature reviews are cornerstones that form the framework of this project and these resources also help the author find out what elements affected the development of books throughout the history of books.
